General Purpose: Under the direction of the Shift Foreman General Foreman; mix and handle chemicals and metals, record information and observations relating to the mixing process, troubleshoot issues with equipment and tanks, working as an integral part of the production team. Essential functions may vary depending on shift.

Essential Functions:
· Monitor machinery, tanks, and instruments to ensure proper operation
· Manipulate the chemical process using controls, and other input devices to operate tanks
· Take chemical samples as required, collaborating closely with the chemist to ensure quality of all manufactured products
· Have the ability of formulate, make batches, with little or no supervision
· Must have knowledge and understanding of log sheets
· Examine equipment and tanks daily to identify any issues and report to supervisor
· Storing, retrieving, mixing, and monitoring chemicals used in the production process
· Recording information, such as acids and metals, weights, and temperature
· Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes and understanding the capabilities of plant equipment
· Collaborating with all team members to complete the production process
· Loading and unloading tanker and cargo trucks
· Must meet physical requirements of the position
· Operating a forklift
· Adherence to BGCS attendance policies
Non-Essential Functions:
· Assist in the training of entry level new hires
· Reporting safety violations or other concerns
· Observing all safety and quality regulations
· Assist in planning and improving processes and product quality

Special Position Requirements: Duties for this position include seeing, listening, writing, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, and carrying up to fifty pounds in the manufacturing plant; tilting drums weighing up to 624 pounds. Employees are expected to wear protective gear such as respirators, goggles, safety glasses, gloves and /or protective coveralls when assigned duty warrants these precautions.
