    Description

    Fisk University (www.fisk.edu) invites applications for an assistant professor in chemistry, tenure track, with demonstrated potential for excellence in student-centered undergraduate teaching (general chemistry or organic chemistry, and upper division courses), and for developing a research program (open area) capable of attracting external funding and publishing peer-reviewed papers with undergraduate co-authors. The faculty member also will serve as a mentor in the Fisk-Vanderbilt Master’s to PhD Bridge Program and, depending on their research interest, the Fisk-UIUC Master's to PhD Bridge in Quantitative Biology. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related discipline is required, and postdoctoral training is optimal.  Applications are being considered immediately; the position is available as early as June 2022. Fisk University is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

    Minimum Qualifications: 

    PhD in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
