Professor - Civil Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of civil engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Civil Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Civil Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. - Pushing, compacting, grading, loading, or hauling of waste and soil
- Follow site grading and operations plans, read grade stakes, and operate in a medium to fine-grade environment
- Operate equipment including but not limited to Excavators and Bulldozers
- Perform daily heavy equipment walk-around inspection and preventative maintenance responsibilities
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Reliable transportation to and from the job sites
- Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety
- Experience with heavy hand tools and previous work in an outside environment preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
