    Position Summary


    Does telling big stories with real-world impacts drive you? We are looking for a Communications Manager to help set the strategy and own the development of content and tactics for telling our story. This role will partner closely all divisions to craft polished and impactful materials, including talking points, leave behinds, press releases, pitches, speeches, event plans, articles, and more. The successful candidate will manage external communication channels to maintain a unified voice and ensure consistency in messaging across all company communication.


    This position is based at Rausch Coleman’s Home Office in Fayetteville, AR. 


    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to manage external communications activities, contribute to strategic planning of corporate communications campaigns, and prep spokespeople for media availabilities.
    • Develop a comprehensive content strategy to tell the story of our product/brand promise to targeted audiences.
    • Understand our audiences and create content that resonates with them.
    • Craft press releases, articles and other communication materials as needed.
    • Produce high-quality written, visual and digital content for various channels (website, social, email, etc.) in partnership with designers on our creative teams.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers and key stakeholders.
    • Coordinate crisis communication planning and response execution, ensuring preparedness and the protection of Rausch Coleman Homes reputation.
    • Identify public relations opportunities.
    • Manage external communication channels to maintain a unified voice.
    • Ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels.
    • Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activities to ensure content relevance.
    • Media monitoring for relevant mentions of RCH and the building industry in the news.
    • Manage executive speaker's bureau, including managing the calendar of speaking events, scheduling speakers for key events, and assisting in the creation of presentations.
    • Leverage metrics and analytics to set measurable KPIs to track and report the impact and ROI of communications and PR activities, and gauge success.
    • Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, including campaigns with varying size and scope.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, business-related field, or a complementary degree, OR equivalent professional experience relevant to this position.
    • 5 years of professional experience in public relations or corporate communications.
    • Excellent written, grammatical, and editorial skills and understanding of the various of channels and type of content based on goals & objectives. Additionally, great oral and listening skills.
    • Experience in public and community relations.
    • Comfortable speaking on behalf of the company for print, online, and broadcast outlets.
    • Ability to think creatively and strategically to communicate with external audiences.
    • Experience building and improving communication processes and tools.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks on tight deadlines.
    • Highly organized professional working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to evolving priorities.
    • Quick learner who can take direction and complete projects independently.
    • A healthy sense of humor, adaptability to change, and a figure-it-out, get-it-done demeanor.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Event planning and execution experience.
    • Communications plans and execution experience.
    • Project management experience.

    Physical Demands

    • Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently and frequently moving small objects.
    • Frequently sitting for long periods of time.
    • Walking or standing occasionally.
    • This position works mostly indoors going outdoors may be frequently required.
    • Must have manual use of hands and vision to use computer constantly.
