We are currently seeking a Communication Coordinator to be a part of our Philanthropy & Communication team. This is a marketing and communications generalist position supporting the department's goal of securing increased fundraising dollars and growing community awareness of our agency and programs. Responsibilities range from donor impact and engagement content creation, writing and editing, media relations, internal and external marketing of the agency, graphic design, event communication, website maintenance, and social media oversight.
This position requires the minimum of an Associate's degree in communications, marketing, graphic design or related field (or equivalent work experience) and 2 years of work experience in communications, public relations, or related field. Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor degree in communications, marketing, graphic design or related field and have 5 years work experience in Communications, PR or related field. Candidates must also have exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal and computer skills; capable of thinking both creatively and analytically; articulate, polished, and professional demeanor with strong work ethic, initiative, and confidence. Preferred candidates will have professional writing, creative writing, persuasive writing, and/or copyediting experience as well as graphic design experience. Flexibility to attend an occasional evening and/or weekend meetings/events is also required. A Wisconsin driver's license, reliable transportation, maintaining required auto insurance coverage and acceptable driving record are also required.
