Professor - Communication teaches courses in the discipline area of communication. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Communication provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Communication typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Part-Time Adjunct Professor of Communication Studies

    The University of St. Thomas Communication Studies Department invites applications for a part-time adjunct professor. We are seeking applicants to teach Public Speaking, Intercultural Communication, Persuasion, and other Communication Studies courses.

     

    Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, as teaching needs are identified.  The position remains open until filled.  Candidates may be contacted in the future about future opportunities.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum qualifications for the position include a master’s degree in communication studies or a closely related field (Ph.D. or A.B.D. preferred), and experience in teaching university-level communication studies courses.
