Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    All teachers must be highly qualified as defined by federal guidelines of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Teachers must possess a bachelor’s degree and full state certification or licensure. K-6 teachers must have elementary certification or may have a designated subject certification in grades 5 or 6 if they are departmentalized and only teach that subject or subjects for which they hold certification. Teachers in grades 7 and above must be certified in the area that they teach.
