Adjunct Instructor for Computer Science

(Part-time On-campus)

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Tiffin University is currently seeking to fill an adjunct instructor position (part-time & on-campus) for the Computer Science introductory courses within the School of Science, Technology, and Health. The role involves teaching campus-based day and evening classes, integrating both lectures and practical, hands-on computer science and information technology instruction within the same course framework.

Requirements

 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teaching lecture courses in person.
• Grading and providing detailed feedback on all assignments. This includes in-depth feedback specific to the assignments.
• Actively responding to student emails and requests within 24 hours.
• Communicate effectively with students via written, oral, and virtual modalities.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Ideal candidates will possess a master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field. Additionally, candidates should have completed at least 18 credit hours of graduate-level coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar discipline. 

Professional experience in software development, data analytics, excel, cybersecurity, or another relevant Computer Science and Information Technology area is also highly valued.
