Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Description

    The Department of Professional Studies at Southeastern University is seeking an innovative
    and dedicated adjunct professor to teach undergraduate courses in computer science, with a
    focus on web development, data science, and cybersecurity. The successful candidate will have
    a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service and will actively engage
    with students and contribute to the university's mission.


    Responsibilities will include:
    ● Teaching a variety of courses, including web development, data science, and/or
    cybersecurity in both face-to-face and online formats
    ● Developing and updating course materials to reflect current trends and best practices
    ● Mentoring and advising undergraduate students in both face-to-face and online
    environments
    ● Engaging in research and scholarly activities
    ● Participating in departmental and university service
    Minimum Qualifications
    ● Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Data Science,
    Cybersecurity, or a closely related field
    ● Demonstrated expertise in web development, data science, and cybersecurity
    ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    ● Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment
    Preferred Qualifications
    ● Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Development, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a
    closely related field
    ● Prior successful teaching experience at the college level
    ● Experience in curriculum development and assessment
    ● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
    ● Proficiency in specific software, programming languages, and tools, such as Python,
    JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React.js, SQL, R, Tableau, and/or relevant cybersecurity tools
