We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Treatment Coordinator. As a Treatment Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Our Treatment Coordinator should be caring, professional, and goal oriented.
Duties:
- Explain treatment plans to patients,
- Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service,
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar,
- Collect and verify patient information, including dental and medical history and insurance details, complete insurance verification to determine coverage and benefit limits,
- Assist with insurance claims processing and billing,
- Coordinate treatment plans for patients, including explaining procedures and associated costs,
- Offer patients alternate means of payment such as third party financing,
- Obtain high treatment plan acceptance by educating patients on dental treatments, costs, insurance coverage, and financial options,
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Dentrix software,
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction,
- Help the dentists with communication between our dental office, outside dental specialist, dental labs, different dental platforms like Invisalign, SmileVirtual etc.,
- Create and implement digital communication and marketing systems.
Skills:
- Previous experience as a dental front desk/ treatment coordinator is necessary, minimum of three years,
- Experience in customer service or sales, minimum of three years,
- Proficiency in using Dentrix dental software system,
- Working knowledge of Microsoft suite,
- Strong knowledge of dental scheduling and record-keeping practices,
- Knowledge of dental billing and experience with dental procedure codes and fee schedules,
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient privacy,
- Self motivated and ambitious sales attitude,
- Caring, outgoing, and friendly personality.
