Being a Professor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the ER system
- Verify and update patient information in the system
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes is a plus
- Proficient in using phone systems and computer software for scheduling and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
