Job Description:

Our dental practice is a reputable dental clinic committed to providing high-quality dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. We are currently seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Assistant to join our team and be the first point of contact for our patients. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient patient flow and ensuring the accuracy of administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities (shared with existing front office member):

• Patient Chart Management: Initiate and organize patient charts, ensuring systematic storage of personal, medical, and treatment information.
• Record Keeping: Regularly update patient records with new treatment details and notes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Financial Management: Enter insurance payment details into OpenDental software, manage insurance verifications, and handle billing-related inquiries.
• Communication: Answer incoming calls, field inquiries, take messages, and make courtesy calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
• Administrative Support: Collect and sort mail, pull patient charts and visit slips, and respond to emails promptly.
• Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels of dental and office supplies, restocking as necessary.
• Scheduling: Manage the appointment calendar, fill cancellations, and reschedule appointments to optimize clinic efficiency.
• Reporting: Compile daily financial and operational reports, upload them to Dropbox, and conduct monthly reviews of unpaid accounts.
• Insurance Processing: Verify insurance eligibility, enter new insurance information, and address any insurance denials or outstanding claims.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a front office role, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Friendly and welcoming demeanor
• Strong organizational abilities
• Proficiency in basic computer skills
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus but not mandatory
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in using dental office software, preferably OpenDental, and general office software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour
