Professor - Dentistry jobs in Oklahoma
Professor - Dentistry teaches courses in the discipline area of dentistry. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Hours: Monday- Thursday 8AM -5PM

- Expose dental diagnostic X-Ray.
- Record treatment information in patient records
- Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
- Clean teeth, using dental instruments including cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
- Apply a protective coating of fluoride to teeth.
- Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
- Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
