Our independently owned fee for service dental practice is looking for a new team member. Looking for someone who has a welcoming, friendly personality, detail oriented, and is self motivated. The dental assistant is integral in building patient relationships and providing quality care.
We are open Mon-Thur. One hour lunches.
Pay is competitive and based off of experience and skill. Paid holidays and Dental care for employee and immediate family is offered.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical history
- Familiarity with dental software systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using dental software systems for appointment scheduling and record keeping
