Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Drama typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Moran, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources SUBJECT:Brockton After Dark Summer 2024 – Drama Advisor An advisor is required during the Mayor’s Youth Summer Evening Program, Brockton After Dark, held at Brockton High School’s Marciano Stadium from Monday July 8, 2024, through Thursday August 22, 2024. Drama will be held weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Summary: The Brockton After Dark Drama Advisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of the weekly summer drama program. You will host theater games and activities including improvisation, role-play situations, play readings, and play productions. If enough youth participate, the goal would be to hold a presentation at the end of the summer for parents/ guardians, as well as the community. Qualifications Relevant advanced degree in theater or related field and/or at least 3-5 years of theater/drama experience, Strong understanding of the developmental needs of early adolescents, Experience with curriculum design, and student-centered teaching and learning practices, Pedagogical approach to drama instruction that incorporates equitable and inclusive teaching strategies and curricula Demonstrated ability to work with a diversity of student backgrounds, learning styles, and prior experience in performing arts Compensation: $38.73 per hour Funding Source: Office of Mayor Robert F.
