The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is seeking a board eligible/certified MD or DO for a full-time clinical faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Faculty appointments are granted through the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine and the level/rank will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
The Pediatric Endocrinology Division, ranked # 1 in U.S. News & World Report's 2023 edition, uses a multidisciplinary approach to diagnose, treat and manage the care of children and adolescents with a variety of common and rare endocrine conditions. As a division internationally recognized for research, we provide our physicians with a tremendous amount of support and mentorship to ensure professional growth and enable them to effectively treat children in their care. Therefore, we encourage clinicians with a specific research focus or interested in establishing an area of clinical specialty to join our team. The division provides a full range of modern diagnostic techniques in-house as many hormonal assays are run in our own laboratory and our institution. The division currently employs 21 clinical and research MD and/or PhD faculty, further supported by a large group of nurses, nurse practitioners, nutritionists, social workers, psychologists, and certified diabetes educators. The division currently has 12 fellows in training and has successfully matched all fellowship positions for the last 13 years through an ACGME-approved fellowship program.
The Department of Pediatrics is ranked #3 and Cincinnati Children's Hospital is ranked #1 on the 2023 in U.S. News & World Report's Best Medical Schools and America's Best Children's Hospitals, respectively. Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, be certified or eligible for Certification in Pediatric Endocrinology, and a willingness to supervise the inpatient/consultation service and participate in the training of fellows, residents and medical students, in addition to providing outpatient clinical care at base and satellite clinics.
