Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Drama provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Drama typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.       Pay Range: State Teacher Salary [8.5% - 16% local supplement]
      Position Purpose: To develop students' interest, abilities, talents and skills for artistic expression and creativity in theatre arts, as well as aesthetic understanding and appreciation by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; developing lesson plans; modeling the necessary skills to performing assigned tasks; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. This candidate will be expected to produce both a fall production and large scale spring musical of the highest caliber. Though under the diretion of the drama teacher, the spring musical will work closely with other Fine Arts teachers. A.C. Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree
      • 18 semester hours of relevant coursework
      • 2.7 GPA (undergraduate coursework or post-graduate coursework)
      • Ability to produce an official, degree dated transcript from an accredited university
