    Job Summary

    PRIMARY FUNCTION:

    The Health Economics Team (HET) is seeking a candidate to fulfill the Senior Analytics Consulting position in its Chicago office. The Senior's primary responsibility is to leverage strong technical skills (SQL, R, Python, and Tableau) and healthcare industry knowledge (payor, provider, pharmacy, public health, epidemiology, etc.) to support and enhance client-facing engagements with HCSC's largest Enterprise National Accounts (ENAs). This role will be primarily aligned to one of our largest clients, with secondary responsibilities in developing the analytic capabilities of the HET Lite delivery model. Specific responsibilities will include:

    ANALYTIC REQUIREMENTS:
    *Understanding and being highly proficient at querying a wide variety of healthcare data and related population data (medical/pharmacy claims, behavioral health claims, health care management (HCM) records, electronic medical records (EMR), provider databases (AMA, NPI, DEA, etc.), member/patient demographic data, and publicly available databases (U.S. Census, Bureau of Labor Statistics, NIH, etc.) in order to construct a robust, accurate, 360-view data environment that is unique to each client
    *Demonstrated performance excellence in one or more of the following computer languages: SQL, SAS, R, Python
    *Employing techniques such as a case-control study, regression analyses, principal component analyses, clustering exercises, propensity scoring, classification, ROI calculation, etc. to produce actionable insights
    *Ability to create a dynamic and visually engaging dashboard in Tableau
    *High degree of business intelligence and understanding how to take a business case from inception to client execution.
    *Demonstrated performance excellence in championing initiatives and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to bring the initiative to life.

    BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS:
    *Primary responsibility is to lead the analytic delivery and strategic positioning of HCSCs HET for a large-national employer group. Expectations include partnering with HET management to constantly reimagine analytic delivery to maximize client impact, engage with internal/external stakeholders to advance our tactical delivery, and to educate our enterprise on net new analytics assets.
    *HET Lite - Working with HET Management and peers to execute the delivery of the HET Lite model with strategic analytic development that furthers the clients objectives and positions the organization for client adoption.
    *Working with HET Management and peers to identify and develop net new areas of analytic focus that have departmental impact in terms of consulting delivery, departmental efficiency and impact, and HCSC's strategic positioning

    Required Job Qualifications:
    * Bachelor degree and 5 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics including 1 year experience in data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data, including pharmacy OR 9 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics including 1 year experience in data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data, including pharmacy
    * Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise, with 3-5 years experience in the PBM/Pharmacy/Healthcare industry or related experience.
    * Demonstrated ability to interpret large data sets with the ability to interpret and solve complex problems.
    * Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices
    * Takes initiative to solve complex problems; takes an "outside -in" perspective to identify innovative solutions
    * Knowledge of various software development processes, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, and development, agile methodologies, and tools and technologies.
    * Create and conduct presentations to inform and influence, with the ability to think laterally and creatively.
    * Proficient with software used for data mining, statistical analysis, and data visualization (SAS, SQL, R, SPSS, Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and Microsoft Excel required; strong understanding of database architecture
    * Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
    * May lead functional teams or projects

    Preferred Job Qualifications:
    * Must demonstrate the following characteristics: Analytical Thinking, Communication for Results, Conceptual Thinking, Information Seeking, Initiative, Openness to Learning, Results Orientation, Teamwork, Thoroughness, Understanding Environment
    * Extensive experience working with healthcare data, utilizing SQl, R, Python and/or Tableau

    * Experience presenting healthcare data to external clients/audiences


    Please note this is a hybrid position and must be based within commuting distance of the offices listed. Position requires 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
