Professor - Education teaches courses in the discipline area of education. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Education provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Education typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Responsibilities:
- Implement established curriculum- present to groups of students
- Engage students in Prevention Programs
- Establish and Maintain relationships with school staff, administration, and students
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute programs and initiatives
- Monitor program progress and evaluate effectiveness of strategies
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent necessary; any Post Secondary Education a plus

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in education, counseling or therapy for youth
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have appropriate Clearances to work with students; or be able to get such clearances
