Job Summary
The School of Education at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) invites applicants for a full-time, Assistant Teaching Professor position beginning August 2024 with requirements to be physically present on campus. This is an exciting opportunity to join a large and diverse school that is home to approximately 1,200 students in six program areas: 1) Elementary Education 2) Special Education, 3) Secondary Alternate Route, 4) Higher Education Administration, 5) Educational Administration, and 6) Educational Research. We aim to recruit applicants who will emphasize training to initial licensure candidates in elementary education to become technologically competent, culturally-responsive educators who have an impact on the learning of P-12 students. The School of Education’s Curriculum and Instruction and Elementary Education programs include Bachelors and Masters degrees and include face-to-face, online, and hybrid delivery formats.
