    Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Instructional Aide to provide in-home support to a single student with special needs. This part-time position involves working closely with the student, their family, and other educational professionals to create a nurturing and effective learning environment. The ideal candidate should have experience in special education, a patient demeanor, and the ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of the student.

    Responsibilities:

    Individualized Instruction:

    Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the student's special education team.
    Provide one-on-one instruction tailored to the student's learning style, strengths, and challenges.

    Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

    Conduct ongoing assessments to gauge the student's academic and developmental progress.
    Maintain detailed records of the student's achievements and challenges, communicating regularly with relevant stakeholders.

    Behavioral Support:

    Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by implementing behavior management strategies.
    Collaborate with the student's support team to address any behavioral challenges and reinforce positive behavior.

    Communication and Collaboration:

    Regularly communicate with the student's family to share updates on progress and discuss strategies for continued support.
    Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to the student's education.

    Adaptability:

    Modify instructional materials and techniques to accommodate the student's unique learning needs.
    Adjust teaching methods based on ongoing assessments and feedback from the student and support team.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience working with individuals with special needs, preferably in a one-on-one setting.
    • Knowledge of special education principles, practices, and instructional strategies.
    • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in the well-being and success of the student.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of a high school diploma; associate degree or higher in special education or a related field is preferred.
    • Completion of relevant training or coursework in special education practices.
    • Background check and clearance in accordance with local regulations.
    • Reliable transportation to travel to the student's home.

    Schedule:

    Monday-Friday during school hours, with flexibility based on student's needs.
