The mission of the College of Health Sciences, home of the Physician Assistant Program, is to prepare and inspire health leaders, professionals, and consumers through collaborative and innovative approaches to education, research, and community service. The Physician Assistant Program prepares students for careers in the physician assistant fields. The program is one of the five NATA approved programs at WCU. The faculty members serve both as instructors in the classroom and in the training setting.
The clinical faculty member is primarily responsible for the planning and execution of the clinical curriculum. This multifaceted position also includes coordinating the remediation and support for successful acquisition of program competencies for all students in the PA program. The ideal candidate will use innovative teaching skills and demonstrate strong attention to the learning and teaching needs of the department’s students. Their experience, substantive specialization, and training will serve to strengthen the department's mission and vision. The faculty will collaborate with other departmental and college faculty & staff to ensure student success. The incumbent may have to travel to clinical sites.
