    Electrical Engineering Manager Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; Professional Engineer Licensure required
    • 10 years of experience, including experience managing a team with demonstrated ability to motivate and lead.
    • Subject matter expert on engineering principles, material properties, and other applicable engineering concepts.
    • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; strong interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to retain and build client relationships.
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to provide instruction.
    • Proficient in communicating technical concepts, both verbally and in written form.
    • Self-confidence and humility; ability to cultivate and gain trust through active listening and being a team player.
    • Ability to travel to sites and field work.

    Electrical Engineering Manager
    Job Responsibilities
    • Lead engineering team by leveraging strengths and helping achieve goals/deadlines.
    • Assist leadership with executing the strategic initiatives of the firm and sharing ideas for improvement on implementation.
    • Develop new client business and engage in strategic planning; build relationship capital with clients through project work and networking events.
    • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and provide a high quality of customer service.
    • Lead the team in offering technical expertise and providing design recommendations to the client.
    • Visit project sites and attend meetings with clients, architects, and engineers.
    • Guide team on understanding client needs, constraints in project schedule, scope, and budget to add value through proposed solutions.
    • Prepare working drawings and specifications; perform detailed calculations for complex projects.
    • Prepare, review, and approve technical reports; coordinate design with all other disciplines.
    • Ensure project deliverables are completed at expected quality, within budget, and on schedule.
    • Responsible for stamping construction documents.
    • Price additional services for out-of-scope client requests; review and obtain client approval.
    • Ask thoughtful, relevant, and open-ended questions to better understand clients’ needs; actively listen to develop rapport.
    • Prepare reports and communicate project status updates to leadership, and internal clients.
    • Develop detailed proposals and estimates in support of the bidding process, working collaboratively with the marketing department.
    • Understand accurate timekeeping, project performance, and budgets; approve timesheets, expense accounts, and billing.
    • Assist with monitoring team labor and expenses; review monthly labor reports.
    • Leverage professional network to engage locally with the industry on thought leadership; engage in marketing efforts.
    • Continuous education to remain competitive with latest technologies and practices; develop mentorship programs, train staff, and assist with development.
    • Maintain knowledge of all applicable codes, safety requirements, and other standards.
