Being a Professor - English provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - English typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. SUNY Sullivan is accepting applications for part-time faculty to teach Composition I with Studio for fall 2023. The successful candidate must be willing and able to commit to delivering well-prepared lessons; holding weekly on-site office hours; engaging in regular and timely communication with students and staff via college email; developing and following clear and transparent grading practices; adhering to college and department policies; and submitting requested grades, records, and academic paperwork by posted deadlines.
This course will be scheduled in the morning and/or afternoon.
QUALIFICATIONS:
