Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Environmental Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Job Summary:

    We are on the lookout for a versatile Environmental and/or Engineering Staff Member. This remote role is ideal for professionals with 2 to 5 years of Federal experience and a background in biosciences or geology, eager to dive into environmental or engineering projects and develop into future leaders. Under the mentorship of our Vice President of Technical, the successful candidate will contribute to impactful projects while progressing towards leadership positions within our dynamic, remote workforce.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and manage environmental or engineering projects, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and leveraging your background in biosciences or geology.
    • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to inform project direction and outcomes, applying your bioscience or geological expertise.
    • Collaborate with a remote team, effectively communicating and coordinating to meet project deadlines and objectives.
    • Embrace mentorship opportunities, including guidance from the Vice President of Technical, to hone leadership and technical skills.
    • Prepare and contribute to technical documentation, grant applications, and presentations for a variety of stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biosciences, or a closely related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • 2 to 5 years of experience in environmental or engineering projects with federal involvement.
    • Proficient understanding of federal regulations pertinent to environmental and engineering projects, with a willingness to stay updated on new laws and technologies.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and remote communication skills.
    • Proactive in seeking professional development and aspiring to leadership roles.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Advanced degrees or certifications in Environmental Science, Geology, or Biosciences.
    • Experience in environmental remediation, sustainable development, or similar fields.
    • Proficiency in digital collaboration tools and project management software.
