    ERRG's Bay Area office is looking for a candidate who is self-motivated, independent, dependable, and a strong communicator to be an Environmental Technician.

    Summary:

    Primary responsibilities are collecting environmental samples, complying with health and safety requirements, and providing strong communication to client representatives during field activities.

    Key Position Elements

    • Soil, groundwater, and air sampling
    • Construction site safety and environmental compliance
    • Clear written and verbal communication
    • Frequent paid travel throughout CA as well as overtime pay (1.5x and 2x pay as applicable per CA labor law)

    Job Description:

    • Detail oriented with paperwork and submittals. Correctly fill out a field note book, photograph documentation, health and safety audit forms, etc.
    • Attend and/or lead a health and safety daily tailgate meeting
    • Collect environmental samples, including soil, air, and water
    • Be trained and operate an onsite mobile laboratory
    • Ability to calibrate and operate field meters (e.g., XRF) and record results
    • Strong and consistent communication
    • Maintain professional and capable image while interacting with clients
    • Ability to manage your own schedule/utilization and communicate clearly with client representatives and ERRG project manager
    • Any noncompliance events and their resolution are communicated and documented
    • Accepts responsibility for meeting standards of quality required by ERRG
    • Takes ownership of assignments and sees them through to completion
    • Meets deadlines
    • Implements field assignments in accordance with health and safety and quality control requirements
    • Adheres to project-specific and corporate-wide safety policies

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma
    • 1 to 3 years of related work experience
    • 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refreshers
    • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
    • Proficient in MS Word Office Suite Products
    • Ability to travel to projects sites, as needed
    • Ability to stand/walk 8 hours/day
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly
