Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Foreign Languages provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Foreign Languages typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Foreign Filing Paralegal

    Schwegman Lundberg & Woessner specializes in:
    Strategic patent portfolio planning and management;
    * Infringement, validity and clearance investigations;
    * Opinions; and
    * All phases of intellectual property prosecution practice. This includes:
    * preparation and prosecution of patent applications;
    * appeals
    * post-grant proceedings, interferences; and
    * foreign oppositions.
    SLW cooperates with and advises clients' litigation firms regarding their intellectual property litigation. In this fashion, SLW is able to provide its clients with a realistic appraisal of litigation risks and can better fulfill its mission of providing the highest quality corporate IP services available. We currently have an opening for an experienced Patent Prosecution Foreign Filing Paralegal in our Minneapolis, MN office or working remotely. Applicant should have at least two years experience in patent work. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong computer skills are a must. Salary range is 50k-55k.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    Monitors and responds to all foreign docket dates.

    Works with U.S. Paralegal counterparts to ensure all deadlines are met and updates SLW/client databases accordingly.

    Prepares formal papers and coordinates with foreign associates to complete filing of national stage and regional applications.

    Reviews and handles all international mail and faxes, or routes to responsible Attorney.

    Assists Attorneys with all regional or national stage prosecution matters and country-specific validations.

    Records billing entries and meets billing goals.

    Reviews office actions and other communications from foreign patent offices and prepares preliminary draft of responses.

    Calculates client estimates of filing and prosecution costs in various countries/jurisdictions.

    Provides direction and finalizes correspondence prepared by the Case Management Group. (CMG)

    Informs clients of the status of applications and provides information needed to complete applications.

    Proofreads documentation to ensure accuracy.

    Assists foreign associates with prosecution of applications and payment of annuities.

    Develops and maintains knowledge of foreign and regional Patent Office rules and procedures.

    Performs other tasks as directed or assigned by Attorneys or firm management.

    Education and/or Experience

    Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Paralegal certificate and one to two years of experience may also be sufficient.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent working knowledge of Word, Word Perfect, PowerPoint and Excel Software programs.

    Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
