Professor - Foreign Languages teaches courses in the discipline area of foreign languages. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Foreign Languages provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Foreign Languages typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Job Description Summary

    The purpose of this position is to work in the Foreign Languages Lab and perform the following:

    • Assist students in Foreign Languages lab to complete assigned lessons
    • Tutor students in related activities
    • Data entry
    • Answer phones
    • Maintain daily log
    • Other assigned duties

    Working hours will be within the operating hours of the Foreign Languages Lab.



    Minimum Qualifications

    60 hours college credit.

    Fluent or near fluent in Spanish and/or French.



    Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    Knowledge of various computer software and technology.

    Knowledge of general office skills ( i.e. answering phones, customer relations and typing).



    Preferred Qualifications

    Associate’s degree.
