    Position Summary
    The Department of Medicine – Lafayette is seeking two physician(s), ABIM board eligible/certified (or equivalent) in Internal Medicine for a faculty position at the rank of Instructor (non-tenure, clinical track) to serve as Chief Resident(s).

    The incumbent(s) will provide direct supervision of residents and medical students on inpatient wards; provide direct patient care for one half- or full day of continuity clinic overseeing their own patients; and supervision during resident continuity clinics, as needed. Participate in weekend call schedule and nights as needed. Administrative duties will encompass preparation of yearly Master Schedule, the Ambulatory Clinic schedule, and the monthly/block call schedules for Ochsner University Hospital and Clinics and Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center; the creation of clinic vacation schedule and arranges coverage for patient care needs; and coordination of monthly didactic conference schedule.
