    Position Description Summary/Purpose:

    This person will teach a variety of Business, Finance and or Analytic courses in China at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) for the Spring & Fall 2024 semesters.

    When not teaching in China, this faculty member will teach and support the School of Business’s mission.

    Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

    • Teach four undergraduate business, finance or analytic courses at ZUST as assigned.
    • Recruit and advise ZUST students related to UB programs and careers.
    • Maintain office hours for at least five hours per week related to the two items above.
    • Lecture at other schools in China as directed.
    • Act as the representative of the Trefz School of Business at ZUST and during visits to other schools in China.
    • Contribute to the overall success of the University by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    • Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safety practices are followed.

    Other Functions

    • Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.
    • Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
    • Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

    • Demonstrated commitment to developing and fostering best practices and policies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and build an environment in which all members of the University community are treated with respect and dignity.
    • Current and relevant business acumen.
    • High level of cultural awareness and experience working with diverse stakeholders. 

    Qualifications


    Minimum Required Qualifications:

    • PHD (preferred), MS (required) in Business, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, Technology Management or closely related discipline  
    • A minimum of five years of experience working in related industry after a master’s degree
    • Knowledge of current Business & Finance trends, as well as practices and technology in the field.
    • Demonstrated skills in teaching in traditional University classroom and on-line environments
    • Ability to analyze, synthesize and interpret student learning outcome data to improve teaching and learning
    • Ability to work collegially in a team environment

    • Valid license
    • Valid Passport
    • Must be able to work in China
