Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Previous experience in the legal field or in Social Security Disability law is preferred, but we will strongly consider other candidates who has a background in familiarity with file management, client relations, and computer proficiency. Pay is commensurate with experience.

    Skills:

    • General office and customer service experience
    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Strong client contact skills and telephone etiquette.
    • Ability to prioritize and plan daily work activities.
    • Ability to oversee a large number of cases, under the supervision of a Team Leader and Attorney.
    • Excellent written, verbal and human relations skills
    • Excellent computer skills including: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Ability to multi-task and to work well within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Strong emotional strength and maturity to deal effectively with a challenging and vulnerable population.
    • Ability to meet deadlines while balancing competing demands and performance benchmarks.
    • Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable.

    Other preferred skills:

    • Experience with Social Security Disability Claims
    • Experience in Case Management
    • Knowledge of Social Security Disability Law and Prevail software a plus.
