Professor - Law teaches courses in the discipline area of law. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Law provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Law typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. The successful applicant will be expected to:
§ Draft memoranda and pleadings
§ Conduct legal research using Westlaw
§ Coordinate appointments
§ Manage legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence
§ Correspond with counsel and clients; assist with preparing clients for legal proceedings
§ Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflow
§ Assist with front desk traffic
§ Answer telephones as a back up to the primary
§ Assist with filing documents according to protocols on paper and in our case management program.
§ Ability to manage multiple priorities without compromising accuracy or quality
§ No criminal record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
