Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our legal team. As a Law Clerk, you will provide essential support to our attorneys and assist in various legal tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in the legal field.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics
- Assist with document review and preparation
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Review and analyze case files and trial transcripts
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness statements
- Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings as needed
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies
- Utilize legal databases such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for research purposes
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- JD preferred. 3L considered.
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation
- Familiarity with criminal law and litigation processes
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
