Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Law typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     https://law.uark.edu/Summary of Job Duties:The University of Arkansas School of Law is pleased to announce that it is currently seeking applicants for a Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor of Law for the 2023-2024 year to teach Family Law, Professional Responsibility, and other courses in the law school curriculum. The Visitor will be expected to teach two courses in each semester of residency. The University of Arkansas School of Law anticipates being face-to-face in the 2023-2024 academic year. A successful applicant must be willing to teach in person for the designated period. This is a 100% appointed, nine-month, non-tenure track position.

    A candidate must have a J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school and a commitment to teaching in an environment dedicated to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students. We look for innovative faculty with a preference for both practice and teaching experience. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to service to legal education and to the wider community as well as a desire to engage in the intellectual life of the University.
