Being a Professor - Law provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Law typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Interventional/General Nephrologist - Assistant Professor, Department of Internal Medicine Division of Nephrology

  • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Full time academic clinician
    • Provide patient care in a clinic setting for Nephrology/Interventional Nephrology  patients for 4 sessions per week (Two at UHC in Galveston & two at Victory Lakes Towne Center)
    • Performs Interventional Nephrology Services for 4 sessions/week (League City Campus, Galveston, & TDCJ)
    • Works with the Vascular Surgery, Interventional Radiology and the Health System to grow the Interventional Nephrology Program at UTMB. 
    • Participates in the consult service and call service with the other Nephrology Faculty. 
    • Participates in the education and training of fellows, residents and medical students.
    • Participate in weekend rotation for inpatient consults. 

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • MD degree or equivalent, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology. 
    • Must have completed an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship programs.
    • Prior Experience in Interventional Nephrology.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Clinical practice experience

     

    SALARY:
    Commensurate with experience.
