Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Law typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Teach mathematics graduate and undergraduate courses
    2. Direct graduate research
    3. Establish an international reputation for excellent research
    4. Help develop and run collegiate and university programs
    5. Participate in curriculum development activities, including the development of curricular materials and special instructional methods
    6. Serve on department and university committees
    7. Perform other tasks and/or duties as assigned

     

    Minimum Qualifications

    1. A doctorate in mathematics from a college or university of recognized standing
    2. Demonstrated scholarly achievement
    3. Demonstrated ability in teaching a variety of undergraduate level courses

     

    Desirable Qualifications

    1. Postdoctoral experience in mathematics;
    2. A research focus in any area of applied mathematics
