Being a Professor - Law provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Law typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     • Candidate must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with clients and have comradery with colleagues
    • Candidate must have strong litigation skills with the ability to negotiate and resolve matters ethically and professionally
    • Candidate must have a willingness to hone in on his or her skills and commitment to continually improve, and stay well versed in local, state statues and case law.
    • Candidate must be able to lead support staff by effective communication and leadership skills.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide client representation and legal counsel for family law issues
    • Provide effective and practical advice to clients consistent with their legal issues
    • Deliver effective written skills, legal research and analysis in pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other written documents.
    • Manage caseload from start to completion
    • Deliver effective, clear and empathetic communication to all clients

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year

    Schedule:

    • 8 hour shift
