Being a Professor - Law provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Law typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.   • Established Family Law firm in Pascagoula, Mississippi looking for an entry level Legal Secretary. Interviews to begin after May 1, 2024 for qualified applicants.

    Must be a self-starter, able to multi-task, and work in a high stress environment.

    Responsibilities of the job include assistance with case management, calendaring of internal and external events and deadlines, proofreading and formatting documents, communicating with clients and court staff, document preparation, and other administrative tasks, as needed. Knowledge of Microsoft Word .

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
    • Ability to type 70 wpm
    • Ability to organize legal files and calendar and correspondence a plus
    • Punctuality and professional telephone skills
