Professor - Law teaches courses in the discipline area of law. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Law provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Law typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.   • Are you passionate about protecting rights and interested in a career in law? Chris Cain Law is seeking a bilingual legal assistant to join our team in Salinas, California.

    As an immigration and criminal defense law firm, we need someone who can handle legal filings, perform legal research and writing, answer calls, track cases, and help the attorney prepare for court. Legal office experience is preferred but not necessary. We will train.

    This position is currently offered part-time with the possibility of full-time in the future. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish and able to work on-site in Salinas from 9-1, Monday through Friday.

    It's a fast-paced office, so the right candidate should be able to remain calm under pressure, meet deadlines, and return to a task after an unexpected client call. The majority of the work will be in criminal defense, but we will also need help with immigration work.

    This is an excellent learning opportunity for someone considering a career in law, whether as a paralegal or an attorney. There is room to grow with this job.
