Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Position: Law Associate, Corporate Law

    Responsibilities:

    • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate agreements and documents.
    • Provide legal advice on issues such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, compliance, and governance.
    • Prepare, draft, and file legal documents, including those for government agencies.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues to support client needs.
    • Collaborate with team members to manage case preparation and represent clients in negotiations and transactions.
    • Participate in client meetings and provide clear and concise legal advice and explanations.
    • Keep up to date with changes in corporate law and relevant industry trends.
    • Administer case management system, and track case status on a regular basis and inform clients of their case status.

    Requirements:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree from an accredited US law school.
    • Licensed or on track to be licensed to practice law in New York State.
    • Proficiency in legal research and utilizing legal research tools.
    • 2 years of relevant practice experience required. Practice experience in corporate law settings strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese preferred.
