Professor - Law teaches courses in the discipline area of law. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Law provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Law typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     About VBM's Local Leader Ross Bridges, Managing Partner:
    Ross Bridges brings a unique blend of experiences to VBM Law. Ross holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Spanish and he served in the United States Marine Corps, including a deployment in Iraq. He and his family are active members of the Crossing Church in Columbia and since 2011 Ross continues to make a significant impact as a board member and volunteer with Welcome Home, Inc., a nonprofit providing transitional housing for homeless military veterans. Ross is licensed in Missouri and Kansas and focuses his practice in the areas of workers’ compensation, insurance subrogation law and the civil liability defense of public entities. He also serves as a mentor to VBM team members, fostering growth and career advancement across multiple functions. Ross enjoys all things outdoors and Mizzou sports.

    Accounting Specialist Essential Functions:
    • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with attorneys, administrative and support staff and clients
    • Accounts payable
    • Manage Quickbooks Online for firm
    • Recording accurate and complete financial data
    • Conducting daily banking activities
    • Producing financial reports
    • Monthly reconciliations
    • Assisting Billing Coordinator with AR (including sending out invoices)
    • Processing payroll
    Competitive Salary and Benefits Include:
    • Competitive salary commensurate with experience with a starting range of: $40,000 - $45,000.
