Professor - Legal Support teaches courses in the discipline area of legal services. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Legal Support provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Legal Support typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Transcription Certification Analyst

  • The general duties as a Transcription Certification Analyst for U.S. Legal Support are to review, make changes and certify TX transcripts that are given from our transcriber team. The Transcription Certification Analyst will quality check the final transcript to assure it has met department requirements and then certify it. This role is specific to Texas state only. 

     

    Essential Job Functions:

     

    • Work through SPOT/Engage to pull completed Texas transcripts
    • Review and quality check all Texas transcripts and certify them
    • Provide feedback to transcribers to help improve processes.
    • Perform additional job functions as assigned by leadership.

     

    Skills: 

    • QC and certify several transcripts per day.  At this time, this will be 332 pages per day, but this is subject to change according to the bandwidth of the CSR.
    • Communicate between transcribers and other managers when there are significate errors in transcripts.
    • Communicate between managers to determine bandwidth and number of transcripts that can be reviewed and certified each day.

     

    Requirements:

    • Must be a Texas CSR (Court Certified Reporter)
    • Excellent communication skills. (Verbal and written)
    • High level attention to detail 
    • Proficiency with MS Office, ability to manage downloads in different formats. 
    • Securely transfer files.
    • Strong sense of professionalism and discretion required

     

    Certifications:

    Must be a current TX CSR. (Court Certified Reporter)
