Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     General Summary of Duties:


    Perform Third-Party Collection Procedures that follow Federal, State, and Local laws in order to secure payment for outstanding bad-debt accounts while working with attorneys and legal team.


    Duties of Job

    • Verifies, enters, updates, corrects, and archives information relating to accounts placed for third-party collection.
    • Print, review, copy, stamp, assemble, staple, and copy paperwork.
    • Draft and mail documents.
    • Scan documents.
    • Visit Knox County court once weekly to drop off and pick up documents.
    • Assist in work map/account maintenance.
    • Follows all Federal, State, and Local laws regarding the collection of bad debt accounts - including, but not limited to, FDCPA, HIPAA, and Standard Professional Telephone Techniques.
    • Confers with attorneys and staff concerning cases and assignments when necessary.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.



    Job Requirements:

    • High school education or equivalent.
    • Knowledge of business office procedures.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems.
    • Good listening skills.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, clients, employees, the public, and internal and external clients.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and documents.
    • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction.
    • Ability to stay on track while staying organized as well as being punctual with little or no absenteeism other than personal/vacation time allowed.
    • Must be a self-starter, self-managing, and self-motivated.
    • Must be team and company oriented.
    • Must be able to type at least 45 WPM.
    • Must be able to work full time in the office during normal day time business hours.
