  • About us

In 2013 we saw a need in our community for art based cultural activities and started Machina Arts. As millennials, we understand why it is so hard to keep young or youthful minded professionals in our area. We ourselves struggled with the decision to stay or leave. In the end, we realized that the beauty of this area is that it can be whatever you create. We decided to create an art scene and Machina Arts was born. Over the years, Machina has transformed from a homegrown arts collective into a business offering a full service farm to table restaurant and artbar, creative event management, stylish interior design, and interactive gallery curation. We believe that community based art and design are key drivers in the cultural renaissance that this area needs.

Machina Arts is a socially responsible business that is committed to meeting the highest social and environmental standards. This includes the creation of making more high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose as well as using business to make a positive impact on our community. Machina's workplace has practices such as a providing a living wage for their employees, composting, ethical and local sourcing as well as contributing and partnering with their local non-profits regularly.

We hope that you’ll join us in our creative efforts!

Machina Arts is a socially responsible business that is committed to meeting the highest social and environmental standards. This includes the creation of making more high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose as well as using business to make a positive impact on our community. Machina's workplace has practices such as providing a living wage for their employees, composting, ethical and local sourcing as well as contributing and partnering with their local non-profits regularly.

Machina believes all employees must have individual responsibility within a team concept. This means we take personal responsibility for our jobs as well as helping others. Server

As a server at Machina Kitchen & ArtBar you are the first line of defense for upholding quality service and creating the utmost enjoyable experience for the guests. You will take tables, take orders, run food, clean tables, set up tables, and maintain your pace by communicating with your team. Servers are responsible for touching tables within a three-minute period of guest’s arrival and clean up their tables as soon as possible. If they cannot complete these tasks they are expected to ask for help.

All servers must be willing to work as a team to help their team succeed. This means if you see that someone needs help, see something is dirty, see something that needs to be replenished, or anything else please take the time to so yourself or communicate with your team. Servers are responsible for completing their daily side work, taking care of guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining room/Artbar dining space bathrooms and server stations, running food, curating the guest experience, planning and curating the reservation book, communicating with the team in the kitchen, communicating with hosts and kitchen runners, communicating with their lead server, and anything else they may be asked to do. We understand everyone has bad days, but there is an expectation that a server can maintain a positive attitude during service. If you are having a bad day or need a mental health day, please communicate with the lead server or the ownership team. Servers are expected to follow Machina’s dress and hygiene policies within our handbook.

Any money given to a server directly from their tables is the server’s money to do so as they choose. If you tip out any other employees or participate in tip pooling that is up to your digression. Servers directly report to the lead server first but may be asked to do tasks by the bar manager, sous chef, or owners as needed. Servers must be able to lift 50 lbs.
