Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     The opportunity

    The Mathematics Department at Southern New Hampshire University's campus is seeking a Lecturer of Mathematics to work on-site on a temporary one year contract. The successful candidates will demonstrate excitement for mathematics and engage students with innovative teaching practices in the classroom. A passion for teaching undergraduates is a criterion for achievement in the Lecturer role. The selected candidate should have experience or interest in teaching coursework in the calculus sequence, discrete mathematics, and/or introductory statistics You will report to our Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education. #LI-Onsite.

    What you'll do:

    • Prep for and deliver content for assigned courses; teaching load is four 3-credit courses per semester. Class sessions are 75 minutes and meet twice a week.
    • Access and assess student work and provide timely feedback.
    • Use Brightspace (the Learning Management System) to support the course
    • Five hours of office hours are to be provided. Additional hours for class prep and student assessment are expected.

    What we're looking for:

    • A Master's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or Statistics is required.
    • 1 years of experience teaching Mathematics at the college or high school level.
