Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Mathematics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Mathematics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Job Summary/Basic Function
    The Department of Mathematics would like to periodically hire adjunct faculty who have a strong commitment to a high-quality undergraduate education.

    A typical teaching load will be one or two classes a semester, as needed.

    **This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

    Required Qualifications
    Bachelors in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or equivalent.

    Preferred Qualifications
    The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, the ability to produce scholarly work, and a willingness to perform academic service.
