Professor - Mechanical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of mechanical engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Mechanical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Mechanical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Position
CEMS Engineering, Inc. is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer with MEP experience. The engineer should have experience on the design and layout of building HVAC and/or mechanical systems. The individual will be responsible for serving as the senior technical engineer working on a wide variety of complex steam, chilled water, and large air handling systems for complex building facility projects. Candidates should have a sound technical foundation and have strong communication skills. The engineer should have the ability to work independently and take initiative. Individuals need not be local.
Job Location
This position is located in our Summerville, SC office, which is 20 minutes from downtown Charleston.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
- 5 years of experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Prior experience working as a mechanical MEP engineer on building or facilities projects
- Strong communication skills
Desired qualifications:
DoD Experience is considered a plus. Experience in Revit MEP is also a plus.
