Farmingdale State College invites applications for a non-tenure track lecturer in Facility Management Technology starting in the Fall 2024. The Facility Management Technology program is housed in the Mechanical Engineering Technology department. The department offers ETAC/ABET accredited Bachelor of Science degree programs. The primary responsibilities include teaching courses at the undergraduate level, program development, lab development, student advisement, recruitment, assessment, program outreach, and service for the Mechanical Engineering Technology department. The candidate must have a background in engineering and should have the ability to teach a variety facility management related courses such as project management, security and fire protection systems, management of building systems, computer applications for facility management, facilities planning, and facility maintenance management. The individual must have excellent written and oral communication skills and must be committed to the continuous improvement process and the outcome-based assessment of the programs to maintain specialized accreditation. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, and/or Saturday.
