Professor - Medical Ethics teaches courses in the discipline area of medical ethics. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Medical Ethics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Medical Ethics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - GRAPHIC DESIGN

  • The Ithaca College School of Humanities and Sciences invites applications for a temporary, full time, 9-month teaching position in Graphic Design, beginning on August 16, 2024. The successful candidate will teach six courses (24 credits), including Graphic Design I, Graphic Design II, Two-Dimensional Design, and Introduction to Typography in the Department of Art, Art History, and Architecture. They will also oversee supplies and equipment in the Mac-based Graphic Design studio.

    Qualifications: An MFA in Graphic Design or closely related field is required. If the MFA is not in Graphic Design, significant professional design experience is expected. Candidates must have a fluency in Mac OS, Adobe CC, and other industry-standard design software. Candidates who have college-level teaching experience are preferred.

    All bargaining unit faculty members shall be covered by the collective bargaining agreement between Ithaca College and Services Employees International Union, Local 200 United. Full time bargaining unit employees are all limited term faculty teaching term appointments on a full-time non-tenured and non-tenure track basis employed by Ithaca College at its Ithaca, New York campus.
