Professor - Medical Ethics teaches courses in the discipline area of medical ethics. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Medical Ethics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Medical Ethics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     The Medical Assistant (MA), depending on the clinic structure, may perform administrative tasks such as answering the phones, completing paperwork, and scheduling appointments in addition to assisting in clinical duties such as taking/recording a patient’s history, preparing patients for treatment; and taking a patient’s vital signs (blood pressure and temperature) prior to treatment. They assist the delivery of quality medical care in accordance with a provider’s orders. They also act as a liaison between the patient and the provider and maximize the provider’s time with the patient.

     

     

    MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS

     

    Qualifications:

    Required Education:   N/A

    Preferred Education:   High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

     

    Required Experience:  N/A

    Preferred Experience: 1 (one) year experience in MA role or Externship at Accredited MA

                                                          Program in a physician’s office, prefer physician office/clinic experience

     

    Required License/Registration/Certification: BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
